How to Add Your Site to the Google Index

Adding your site to the Google Index means that viewers who use that search engine will have your website as an option when looking up relevant queries. Adding yourself to this index does not mean that you will be on the first page, or even the first couple of pages. This tutorial will show you how to add your website to Google's Index in order to become searchable all together

Enter. Type in the URL (Web Address) of your site. Be sure to include the homepage in its entirety.
Verify. Type in the verification code in the CAPTCHA
to confirm that you are not spamming the site.
Add. Click the "Add URL" button at the bottom of the page.

  • Google says that there is no guarantee that their web spider will definitely index your site.
  • You must add the http:// prefix when submitting your site.
  • Your request for the site to be added will be processed. This will not be instant.
  • In order to be put on the first page, you will need to Increase Your Website Traffic.
  • If the site is already indexed on Google, there is no need to add it again.
  • Do not submit your site multiple times---this will likely flag it as spam
