Why it’s Important to Urinate After Sex

Urinating After Sex Helps You a Lot.
Most people would like to remain in bed, cuddling with their partner or go right to sleep after sex. But a study carried out shows that urinating after sex offers a lot of health benefits to your body. It makes it easier for your body fight off bacteria or infections that might get into your system.
During sex a lot of bacteria and germs find their way into your system and accumulate in your urethra . This increases the risk of you coming down with a bladder infection or in some cases, a urinary tract infection.
Unlike men, a female ejaculation doesn’t occur across the urethra, which means these microbes and germs remain locked in the urethra. Medical experts have placed this as the top reason women develop urinary tract infection. So its a good health practice for women to expel these bacteria by urinating right after sex.
For women who would like to linger in bed for a while, this can still be achieved as urination doesn’t have to be done immediately. Experts recommend taking your time and waiting for up to 45 minutes after penetration before urinating.
